Wind Ensemble Series

Our Season 18 Wind Ensemble Series is more than a concert lineup — it’s an immersive journey through stories, memory, celebration, and community. Each performance is a chapter in a larger musical story that speaks to the heart of who we are: bold, brave, joyful, and ever-curious. We open with Heroes and Harmony, where legends come to life in heroic fanfares and vivid narratives alongside students in our Autumn Winds Youth Ensemble. The season continues with A Time for Joy, a festive holiday celebration blending timeless holiday classics with masterworks by Bach, Gorb, and Ticheli. In Bold, Brave, and Beautiful, we honor the American spirit through powerful works by Copland, Gershwin, Bernstein, Ellington, and more. Finally, we close with From Day to Night, a reflective and emotionally stirring program featuring Deep River, Good Night, Dear Heart, and Omar Thomas’ Of a New Day Begun.

"Lights Out" Chamber Series

Our “Lights Out” Chamber Series is a captivating musical experience created by the Florida Wind Band to awaken wonder, curiosity, and connection through the magic of live chamber music. In this unique concert series, we dim the lights and let music and storytelling take center stage. With soft lighting, intimate spaces, and narrated tales drawn from ancient Greek mythology, each performance this season is designed to immerse you in a world where imagination and artistry intertwine. Guided by Music Director and narrator Dr. Matthew McCutchen, every concert invites you to listen not just with your ears, but with your whole heart.
