We conclude our 18th season with From Day to Night—a program of music filled with hope, reflection, and passion. From Benjamin Horne’s stunning arrangement of the American spiritual Deep River to Dan Forrest’s tear-jerking Good Night, Dear Heart, this concert features music that will move audiences on both emotional and spiritual levels. Of special note is Omar Thomas’ Of a New Day Begun—perhaps one of the most powerful pieces of music composed in the last 10 years.

Guest Narrator
Nancy Callahan
Jude Kasti is a first-year student in Architecture and Environmental Design at North Carolina State University. A 2025 graduate of Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida, he brings a strong foundation in both the visual and performing arts.
As a percussionist, Jude performed extensively at Berkeley and with the Florida Wind Band’s youth ensembles, including Bay Area Youth (BAY) Winds and Autumn Winds at the University of South Florida. His additional musical experiences include Summer Breeze, Festival of Winds, international performance at the CLAZZ Music Festival in Italy, and numerous theatrical productions both on stage and in the pit orchestra. He currently sings with Grains of Time, NC State’s oldest all-male a cappella ensemble.
Beyond music, Jude is a nationally award-winning painter and an active leader in environmental initiatives at NC State. He is honored to return to Berkeley to serve as narrator for this special performance.
