This July 4th, grab your red, white, and blue and join us for a musical fireworks show, indoors, fully air-conditioned, and with zero actual fireworks (According to the Fire Marshal, we can't light those things indoors!). Celebrate 250 years of American spirit and the centennial of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church. Hum along, clap along, and revel in everything that makes America bold, brave, and beautiful!

In Woven in the Web, a guest narrator and intimate chamber ensemble bring to life the West African tale of Anansi, the clever spider who dared to ask for the world’s stories. Through daring tricks and quick thinking, Anansi turns impossible challenges into a gift for all humanity. Each note and narrative thread reminds us that stories are meant to be shared, and that sometimes, the smallest voice can change everything.

Full of humor, mischief, and clever twists, the tale reminds us that the richest treasures aren’t always made of gold, but of wisdom, humility, and a little bit of luck. Each note and narrative flourish sparkles with Irish charm and cheeky delight, weaving a magical experience for audiences of all ages.

The centerpiece of the program, Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”, transforms the concert hall into a gallery of sound, bringing each painting vividly to life through the ensemble’s dynamic performance. The finale concludes with the spirited “Corcoran Cadets March” by Sousa, leaving audiences inspired and uplifted. This concert embodies the season’s theme, “Crafting Sound, Shaping Culture,” and is a fitting celebration of music, creativity, and community.
