Biography: Bill Swartzbaugh has had a varied music career performing regularly with several groups in rock, jazz, wind band, and orchestral ensembles. He is a musical theater veteran, having played in national touring shows such as Wicked and West Side Story and regional and local theater. Additionally, he has an extensive background in rock and pop and has performed with The Who, ELO, Styx, Mannheim Steamroller, and many other groups from the 50s and through the decades. He has also performed with many individual artists, such as Frankie Avalon, Bernadette Peters, and Jackie Evancho. Bill also teaches electric and upright bass in the University of Tampa's contemporary music department since 1998, in addition to his private studio.
