Biography: Kathryn Baker, originally from Winfield, KS, studied music education with a piano concentration for two years at the University of Kansas and completed her music degree at the University of Tampa. Upon graduation, she was privileged to be on the founding teaching staff for Tampa Preparatory School, where she taught AP Music Theory. As a pianist, Kathryn spent many years teaching private piano lessons, serving as an organist for larger churches, accompanying many music students and organizations, playing for musicals, and has performed a concert tour in Europe with the Florida Symphonic Winds. Kathryn and her husband raised their daughter and son and now have two granddaughters.

Biography: Agnieszka Zick is a Polish-born pianist and educator who performs in concerts as a soloist, chamber, and orchestra pianist. She received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, Poland, a double Master’s degree in Piano Performance and Chamber Music from the University of South Florida, and her Doctorate in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Michigan. Dr. Zick maintains an invested interest in the standard piano repertoire, promotes contemporary music, and advocates for inclusive music programming for students and audiences. Recently, Dr. Zick’s playing was described as “incredibly sensitive” and “she paints beauty in sound” (Fanfare Magazine) about her CD release “Orchard - A collection of 50 short piano pieces” by Tyler Kline (Neuma Records, January 2022). In addition to her performance, Agnieszka is an active adjudicator and presenter. Her work has been featured nationally and internationally, and her students receive honors and recognition at regional and state competitions.
