The Florida Wind Band returns to the stunning sanctuary at Hyde Park United Methodist Church for our annual Holiday Pops. You will have “The Most Wonderful Time” as we take you on an international Christmas journey through England, Germany, France, Puerto Rico, Russia, and the United States. Our guest narrator, Colleen Schmitt, will be your tour guide with holiday favorites, band classics, and new works celebrating the season. Colleen Schmitt, Guest Narrator
Colleen Schmitt was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Growing up in a musical family, she started playing piano when she was five years old and has studied with Jeanna Ogren and Jeffrey Peterson. Colleen started her work in liturgical music as the principal keyboardist at a large church in Milwaukee, where she honed her skills as an accompanist and became a worship leader for their Women's Ministries. Collen is currently the Director of Contemporary Music at Hyde Park United Methodist Church in Tampa, Florida. She also maintain a healthy and thriving piano studio at The Leopold School of Voice and Piano and in her private studio. Colleen is thrilled and honored to be the narrator for the Florida Wind Band's annual Holiday Pops and looks forward to enjoying this evening with you.
