"Love & Light" presents a magnificent afternoon with the rare opportunity to hear music performed by some of the Tampa area’s finest middle school, high school, and professional musicians. The concert will begin with the Florida Wind Band featuring the winner of our high school concerto competition. Following will be Bay Area Youth (BAY) Winds Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble. The repertoire includes John Mackey’s clever “Let Me Be Frank With You”, Lindsey Bronnenkant’s “Tarot”, and Brian Balmage’s “Love and Light”. It is our hope and intention that the whole concert will spread love, light, and cheer to the world.  

This concert is in partnership with our Bay Area Youth (BAY) Winds Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds conducted by Dr. Matthew McCutchen and Mrs. Devin DeDon.  Bay Area Youth (BAY) Winds is Tampa Bay’s premier outlet for outstanding students from Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Hernando counties to perform advanced and collegiate-level music with equally talented and motivated peers. BAY Winds will celebrate its 12th year of providing exceptional performance opportunities for intermediate and advanced middle school and high school students in tiered wind ensembles on this concert alongside the Florida Wind Band.

The event is currently SOLD OUT. Any tickets not claimed 5 minutes before the start of the concert can be purchased for $18 at the door on the day of the event. 

*All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. 

*All tickets are general admission and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

• 2:30 PM - Auditorium lobby doors open.
• 3:00 PM - Concert hall doors open for sponsors, donors, honorary community members, and audience members needing special assistance to enter the hall early to select their seats. 
• 3:15 PM - Concert hall doors open for all other ticket holders. 
• 3:30 PM - The concert will begin and has a run time of two hours with a short intermission when resetting the stage between ensembles.
