Terry Pattishall taught instrumental music in the Seminole County public schools
for 35 years. She started the band program and then taught for 8 years at Jackson
Heights Middle School in Oviedo before leaving to start the band program and
spend 27 years at Lake Mary High School. Throughout her career, Ms. Pattishall’s
bands were invited to share their music on numerous occasions at the local, state
and national levels. They also enjoyed successful performances in all areas of the
Florida Bandmasters Performance Assessments.
After her retirement from Seminole County, Ms. Pattishall served for several years as an adjunct professor of music and music education at both Seminole State College and the University of Central Florida. She continues to teach and share music with students and directors, visiting band rooms as a clinician, guest conductor and mentor while conducting honor bands and serving as an adjudicator for the Florida Bandmasters Association.
Ms. Pattishall received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University
of Florida and a Master of Education in Music degree from the University of Central
Florida. She is a Life Member of the Florida Bandmasters Association, a member of
the Florida Music Educators Association, the National Association for Music
Education, and a member of Phi Beta Mu National Bandmasters Fraternity. Ms.
Pattishall is also a member of the Florida Bandmasters Association Hall of Fame.
