Bring the kids, chairs, snacks, and even the dog and join us as The Florida Wind Band presents its first ever spring concert in the park at the beautiful Water Works Park in Tampa. Selections will range from the familiar "The Sound of Music" to the exciting "Tico Tico" to the sublime "Shenandoah". The audience is invited to bring a blanket and picnic lunch for an entertaining afternoon full of toe-tapping tunes. The program will also include several soloists and guest conductors from within the band's own membership.
Water Works Park is a riverfront park with open green space, a dog park, covered and shaded picnic areas, a playground, and a splash pad for children, conveniently located along the Riverwalk in Tampa. For more information about the park, click here.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring chairs or a blanket for seating. Picnics and snacks are welcomed at the park.
The concert will begin at 2:00pm. You do not need to purchase a ticket for this concert. In lieu of tickets, the band requests a donation to help support our mission. While a $10 donation is suggested, a donation of any size is accepted and appreciated, as your generous contributions allow us to continue to support our mission.
Water Works Park is located on the Riverwalk at 1710 N Highland Ave, Tampa, Florida 33602.
Parking is available on Doyle Carlton Drive on a first come first serve basis. Additional parking is available at the Scott Street Lot ($1/hr) and Royal Regional Lot ($2 for the day). Parking is also available at the Armature Works parking lots for $5 for the day.
